Synthesis and anti-cancer activity of new thiosemicarbazones of 1-(5-chloro- 1H-benzimidazol-2-yl) ethanone

چکیده
Some new Thiosemicarbazones containing Benzimidazole moiety were synthesized by combination of conventional as well as green chemistry methods, which had potential Anti – tumor activity against various cancerous cells. All the compounds were submitted to National Cancer Institute, USA for in vitro anti-cancer screening against 60 human cancer cell lines. Our one compound S2 (NSC 92491) was selected for five dosage screening and showed remarkable activity.
